Livability Index after Swachh Index

The Ministry of Urban Development has said yesterday that they are coming up with a livability index for 140 cities of India to tell us how livable it is. this is after the Swachh Survekshan index released by them.

my humble request to you minister naidu ji is to really think twice and ensure you are not spending all the cess money in such things.

there is absolutely zero development in smart city in say soth delhi and none is swachh bharat. even my contacts in states you have rated in top 10 tell me it was just a 2 month tamasha by munciipality and now its same filth.

please make sure your teams are not fooling around with the mandate you have gotten for urban transformation. it is literally no impact in 3 years and it is a wake up call for the remaining 2.

It is fact that the cess charged on account of "swatch Bharat" is absolutely an eye wash and nothing but to snatch the money from the people of India. In Thane ( Maharashtra) the drains, big gutters are as usual dirty like before. I have seen the open gutters with mosquito biding at Danapur, Patna, Ghaziabad , and was wondering the role of Swatch Bharat. It requires passion, determination , hard work by the local municipalities to keep the City clean and free from Mosquito. During the plague , the Surat City was changed to the best clean city in India and the Municipal Commissioner Dr. Rao did not imposed and Taxes to the People. The Municipal Commissioner Mr. Chandra Sekhar changed the face of the Nagpur and Thane City without any Tax or Cess. Where there is a will , there is a way. more
