Kashmir attack and Government action

Looks like the intelligence agencies had warned the Government about a hot summer in Kashmir. Despite that why was there no security and protection in public places? Why was an advisory not issued to tourists?

https://www.news18.com/india/worst-fears-come-true-with-pahalgam-attack-as-intelligence-agencies-warned-of-hot-summer-9309519.html

Isnt it Government responsibility to either ensure and if they fail to atleast inform so people can look after their own safety.

Disappointing. Hope the response to this brutal act of the terrorists/Pakistani agencies is strong and one they wouldn’t forget for a long time. more

The reason why these incidents keep happening is that there is no decisive solution to these issues from politicians. They keep the problems simmering, and then incidents take place. We have had a rogue state in our neighbourhood for 75 years. Why not fix them so they never ever think of doing anything like this? There is no doubt that terrorists have handlers and sympathisers within our own country. How is a state allowing this? Is the information network so weak that they cannot even fathom what is going on? Lakhs of Hindus were driven out of Kashmir, and the demographics have been changing rapidly. What is done to fix that? Removing Article 370 or making Kashmir a union territory is just a scratch on the surface when larger problems are not addressed. This needs strong and decisive action. Local Kashmiris are concerned about their tourism and livelihood, but that cannot happen in isolation if they do not follow the constitution for other things. A fenced border and troops all over the place can never be a long-term solution. The problem needs to be uprooted at a different level. We should not be a meek nation of idiots, not doing anything and hoping that time will heal everything. When the other side has people beyond reparation, these things will not work. There is no moderate Islam, it is not a religion of peace and harmony as they allow no space to any other, though they expect it from other quarters. more
It's truly a shocking incidence, but had we taken any lesson in last couple of years despite repeated such incidences. Perhaps no, Govt. hardly cared and our short lived memory never kept us on toe to be cautious. This is absolutely unexpected to any one in normal way and sufferers have to bear the pain for long.Governor is the supreme authority in the valley as elected people representative has a little value in decision making process. Why Govt. shouldn't take the full responsibility of such big failure to control such menace in public life, instead of acting in whims.A political move with an intention never solves an issue. Perhaps we ae witnessing a tailor of it in this regime. more
It's totally security lapse similar to the one in Israel. Accountability must be fixed quickly. Lax security establishment deserves no leniency. Simply blaming Pak is of no use. more
BJP was voted into power to redeem this country for the majority Hindus. They should've declared India as a Hindu country and de ied voting rights to those of alien religions. Instead, they chose to placate Islamists, who despite any concessions, would only vote for anti national parties. This is the result of the policy of appeasement. Drop this stupid policy of secularism and boldly announce that this country is the last bastion of Hindus and others will be secoclads citizens who will only be tolerated as long as they behave. more
like Israel we should act, Israel is such a small country and their leader take a big step by eliminating Gaza and terrorists, today modi ji u have free hand to work, show to Pakistan that u don't exit in this world. more
