Is there a problem with Air India

I had vaguely remembered that LocalCircles Manager had got us to do rating of Air India some time back.

The only chart I found online is attached.

This rating chart is the most honest bottoms up analysis in the sense that it says 55% air India passengers faced an aircraft maintenance quality issue in last 3 years.

I have been on Air India flights where seats are coming off, tray tables automatically fall on take off and landing, they run out of food and toilets are choked.

This has sadly not changed much after Tata take over.

What if there were issues with 787 that were not getting reported?

Something has to change here. DGCA and frankly an international audit body must audit this airline its people its systems its training everything.

Tatas are a committed business house who would not prioritise profit against safety. Yes, there may be some negligence. It is in news that new aircraft have been ordered. The government audit agencies have to be strict, honest and committed. more
Merging different entities lead to bickering and groupism in many business houses which quite often proves fatal. Tata management should stem the rot as there are numerous complaints against Aur India which is earning bad name for Tata group and India. more
The scholars doesn't Understand the real problem of accident & making noise. The Accident is happened due to Closure of Fuel Valve by somebody during Inspection. The Fuel in Pipe was sufficient to pull the plane on Runway . See Pilot msg. No thrust , No engine Power. On runway the Plane was in speed & If pilot put the break then there was major chances of accident. But Pilot was unaware of Fuel supply valve Condition so he take OFF , may be planning to return but Fuel exhaust condition get Plane descended & met with accident. It is the Soft Terror example like Balasore train Accident. Rly. signaling System is Perfect but Unless somebody tempered it intentionally , It will not happened. Common Peoples , scholar's beyond to understand the reason. more
it should be sent to tata head now to look into the same and address the issues by LC and also LC should send a copy to DGCA more
Air India needs a right probe this time for its own survival irrespective of inheriting a laid back work force or any other excuse about Boeing. It can't be like the probe of Railways accident enquiry. more
