Is the India story coming apart

Indian Rupee is down 6% against the Pakistani Rupee over the last 6 months

The currency of fourth largest economy is now falling against a weak nation that survives on terrorism

This is India's growth story, which seem to be coming apart.

Over 92 to the dollar, a currency that itself is falling. Falling against a retreating currency is a double blow. more

Don't overlook Bangladesh’s resilience. Despite currency fluctuations, UN data shows India and Bangladesh are neck-and-neck on the Human Development Index. Bangladesh actually leads in key social areas: their maternal health metrics are slightly better, and their female labor force—the backbone of the garment and craft industries—is a powerhouse India is still working to match. This foundational focus on welfare suggests that the nation India helped create is far more stable than the headlines suggest. That will see THE COUNTRY CREATED BY INDIA through in the coming years. Hope they stay grateful and friendly. _ Jai Hind. more
India is doing much better then earlier regime of 2004-2014. more
Please focus on the POSITIVES than on the NEGATIVES. more
Because the government is intent on comparing us with the terrorist country...that's why all the chest thumping is for that country. Have you ever seen them thump their chest on verified economic growth and human development indices? It's also because the people who vote don't care for these parameters. They are quite happy with the image of a strong leader who gives them the illusion of deterrence against a failed nation state more
Why do some people act like mere fault-finding machines? Today, when the whole world is acknowledging India's economic progress, and the IMF is upgrading our rating, why are they trying to belittle the country by comparing it to Pakistan? more
That is their nature. They will never appreciate any good work. more
