IRCTC website is down and has logical issues

One cannot book tickets on irctc website as its down.

I though have a bigger problem with it. Many times for seniors we book berths where we check boxes 1) only book if lower berth is available 2) the berths need to be in same coach.

At this time the system knows what’s available whats not but regardless it takes user through the whole financial transaction inputting card numbers upi details OTP and then rejects the transactions.

Its like late 1990s.

We neeed the system to tell user upfront and only if requested berths available to the financial transaction.

Please get act together IRCTC and CRIS more

Even we get same problems with personal computers and mobiles, it is not a permnent problem.Issues can be resolved not only through complaints but through solutions as well. more  
Pleases remember booking train tickets through any web portal other than IRCTC web portal is not advisable. IRCTC provides many facilities to book tickets. First of all you get option to book tickets under 4 different passenger categories, secondly it provides eWallet facility which is very good, third you can make and save passengers list of your family members. These facilities not only save time but in case of cancellation of ticket refund is secure. So in future please do not book tickets through other web portal where you even do not know the office address. more  
I booked two tickets (self and wife) from Secunderabad Jn to Tanuku and back using the Ixigo app. tHE IXIGO app is not trustworthy. But, those two tickets without my knowledge were cancelled just two days before my journey. I was surprised to notice the same and made complaints to Raly. Minister Ashwin and South Central Railway authorities, no action has been taken. one ticket amount received, but the return journey amount is not yet refunded by the Railway authorities. Whether I can issue notice to SC railway G.M to file a case before Consumer Forum for their willful latches and caused mental agony to me. The Railway authorities are playing fraud on the commuters. Why the Rail Minister and the PM are really blind or acting as one. Is there any need to tell these Rail Board and the IRCTC as if it's our duty to do so? If inspite of repeated complaints the concerned authorities can not help us from where the common can get thigs done ? more  
Excellent observation, did you get a chance to file a complaint or provide feedback to the appropriate departments? If yes where did you send the feedback so that I can also try to send my comment/concern on this. more
