Cleanliness should be maintained at stations as well as the trains. Miscreants should be penalised for making the train and the premises dirty. Tracks should be litter free.Corruption at first should stop from the TTEs who openly ask for money to assign seats. Washrooms should be cleaned there should not be a reason to fasten the mug to a chain. Vendors, beggars should not be allowed to enter the trains. Its our national property and a matter of pride. Lets all protect and cherish our railways. more

these type of equipment might help Railways http://youtu.be/vtIYiGiYn4Q more
when we talk of cleanliness the mind set of entire commuters also need to be taken into account. while working for railways as a contractor for a brief period I realized the civic sense is at a very low ebb in the society right now. in spite of dust bins being provided people push the discard on tracks.. our railways toilet's disposal is also remained in outdated fashion. while chemical treated waste disposal is available; railway is still disposing the toilet waste to nature.. need up-gradation very soon. I am sad that pet bottles, PP cups( plastic) are used by railways rampantly and people throw these out of windows mercilessly. when these non degradable waste is thrown the entire piece of land along track is becoming hazardous. railway passes through many Eco sensitive areas like western ghats.. I am saddened by the toll it has taken. waste thrown from the train while passing at elevated level have reached almost a kilometer below. Railway should lead in bringing in new technologies in maintaining hygiene and cleanliness more
Railway stations nd platform should be cleaned nd there maintenance should have been on time....No. of GRP must be increased by government on train as well as railway stations. more
