Inputs on taking Swachh Bharat to Wards and Blocks

Yesterday, the National Directorate of Swachh Bharat Mission met with all the State Mission Directors of SBM. Soon, they and all the municipal commissioners will be invited to their respective city circles.

Today, we would like to seek your inputs on how Swachh Bharat circles can be created at ward and block levels bringing together neighbors easily so Swachh Bharat goes to every neighborhood of India.

Please share your ideas and if you have taken it to your neighborhood already, share your case study with us.

In order to ensure swatch Bharat mission working properly, the prime action is needed from corporations, municipalities and panchayats. I am afraid to state that I have observed that proper cleaning after public works by contractors after completion of contract work is the prime reason for need for cleaning. If this part is taken care then we can think of public action in cleanliness can be thought of.If dirt is added by the institutions meant for cleaning when the action will be complete? more
Unless and until the people living in the area and the Municipalities don't become part of Swatch Bharat nothing can be achieved. My suggestion is that those of the residents of the area who are enthusiastic about this moment must be involved and recognised by the concerned municipalities through regular interaction and physical presence on the scene where ever need of intervention is required. volunteers must be appreciated for highlighting the issues concerning Swatch Bharat in the neighbourhood of the area concerned, and immediate action must be taken to develop confidence among the volunteers. We all want to live in a neat and clean environment and there is a govt machinery to enforce and deliver on this account. But alas there is no accountability among the cadres who manage these departments. Any noise is useless unless this happens more
if really our Govt wants to clean our city, they can? they have all the powers & Infra to do so with help of local society ,where people are ready to cooperate but we see that there is lack of willpower in local Govt & Local people.
it needs to be done like on war level if really we want that our city should be smart city then we should start from today.
penalty clause to put garbage on the street should an offense & must be penalized.
only then we can hope for some improvement from today. more
First of all the 'Swachh Bharat Mission' has to be converted into a mass movement by making continuous propaganda/publicity through cinema screens, TVs, all news papers/magazines, by putting hoardings on every road sides and every corner of cities/towns/villages and distributing leaflets, etc. Other wise the mission will remain only within a group of selected people only and the goal can never be achieved. more
involve political parties, social workers like BJP AND RSS as they have workers and leaders to work there are seldless workers in other parties join and give them programme more
