Inefficiency of MCF
I have been reading the complaints made by members of this circle about inefficiency of MCF and HUDA in Faridabad . I fully support the complaints made by residents of Faridabad about non functioning of these bodies in the field of garbage removal , ,sewer ,drainage,roads , pavements, cleaning and name any service which is required for normal living . though there are glaring examples of sites in Faridabad specially NIT areas though sectors are not left out where garbage is spread all over the defined place wether it is NIT IV or Railway Road NIT V . I am resident of 21C Golf Enclave and opposite or society there is another society by name Vasundhra , their sewer is overflowing for the past few months almost five months whole area is smelling badly , residents of Vasundhra do not cross that area but residents of other society do pass that point . We have made complaint number of times I am sure Vasundhra residents also must have complained but till yesterday it has not been resolved . This is one of the examples of inefficiency of MCF . Our society President is also the President of the Apex body of all societies in 21C , he has complained number of times but no action is taken . I am again suggesting sooner or later we as residents have to take over functions of MCF and stop paying the taxes in Faridabad. Every MCF employee must be penalised for non performance . Somebody has to come forward and take initiative . Faridabad will never become smart city if we do not take right action at the right time . Centre has allotted Rs 2600 Cr making Faridabad a Smart City which in present scenario will be in dream only. more

I completely agree with above views. MCF is doing nothing. This is crippled with enefficiencies. We are far far away from status of smart city. Officers sitting in any section are useless fellows as they are taking no decisions and do not help at all in implementation process. They are just to take salaries and pass the time. Demand of the time is that some enlightened people should come forward and put pressure on DC of Faridabad and Chief Minister of Haryana through one to one meetings and memorandum. This memorandum can be marked to Prime Minister also. more

I fully endorse the views of the author. There is a need to stop paying taxes and take over the functions of civic nature. The MCF has become totally defunct and the taxe money is being collected to pay off their salaries and excursion trips. I feel shame in stating here that the Commissioner MCF has recently visited foreign country just for a presentation and is not bothered at all for the city facing civic problems. The conditions of roads and the sewage shall speak itself. The problem sometimes lies within ourselves as we many times remain as a silent spectator. more

Agree with all the above. I thought in Haryana there is a charter where officials are supposed to finish the task or close a complaint within a limited period of time. But nothing seems to work and mcf officials care a damn to public complaints . Ever since Faridabad was announced as part of 'Smart City' campaign, I kept wondering where they found 'smartness' in Faridabad. May be they will select a small area do a patch up work and show it to ministers or chief minister for a photo op. Anything you take - cleaning, roads, sewer, electricity - they are all at the lowest level. Just terrible. more

I completely agree with you. Faridabad has become a filthy city and NOT a smart city. I am amazed at the amount quoted by Mr Harbans Chhabra (Rs 2600 Cr to make FBD a smart city). We all have observed the condition of this city when it rains , the sectors look like a lake , there is No way for the rain water to get drained and makes life of people at risk ie..walking through knee deep water, vehicles getting stuck etc....( i hv a live footage of the same). Recently there was heavy wind blowing along with rains, electricity went off from 1 pm(afternoon) sector-16 and came net day morning at 7 AM....Inverter shut down, No drinking water....etc.. I am a computer Engineer, and have designed Projects for benefit of society (like detection and control of sewage through an mobile app etc..) using B.Tech students . Many more projects are in pipeline. I need help through such Localcircles , who can introduce me to technical people for its effective and low cost implementation at society level. I agree with u. Faridabad declared in the category of smart it bit no progress is there as officials of MCF doing nothing and they are hand in gloves . Even in RTI they had admitted that construction of particular commercial building is unauthorised without sanction of building plans. Despite my notice the officials of MCF are not taking action despite directions of High court compelling me to file contempt of court against them in Punjab & Haryana High court. more
