Indigo Service Deficiency

Great work LocalCircles members on Indigo Survey below. Clearly it shows a deteriorating airline.

What is even better is the latest survey on class action (attached) these stories are viral on social media and i hope they put lots of pressure on CCPA to act. Do share everyone in your WhatsApps if you are frequent Indigo traveller.

Having observed the ministry of civil aviation closely I can tell you the equation is totally in favour of airlines. They did not even let passenger chart get implemented.

This is best time to get aviation reforms in India so no one take advantage of consumers. more

@Rohini Bhat: Unfortunately, your response is emotional and not factual. Are you justifying 20-50k fares? By the way, what are the "free" services that you get from airlines these days? I can note that you dislike everything that has anything associated with socialism and you believe we have turned capitalistic and its a panacea for all problems in life. Please check how they deal with monopolies in the US and Western Europe, or their social security systems. And they are touted as capitalist nations. There is no pure socialist or capitalist country. Most government policies in our country are pseudo-socialistic, not capitalistic or socialistic. Our Constitution still mentions that we are a socialistic state. more
PLASE... Do google search firr "Airbus A320" Engine call back" Airlines all iver the wiekd are affected. more
Everything in a Google search is not completely right. Kindly appreciate that. more
Sudarshan Venkataramanan: in 1985 the airline choice was not there, Air India was heavily subsidized by taxpayers meaning government bottomless pit. Do you still pay for things same as 1985 rate? What a silly argument you have. Please educate yourself in rules of economics. This is this kind of thinking got India into bankruptcy in 1990s and had to get away from long practiced socialist policies. They had to do that to get world bank loan to run the country that had no foreign exchange for world trade. Yes taxes are still very high but people keep asking for free stuff and tax payer keep needing to pay. If so called free services are curbed we will see lowering of taxes. By the way two different topics combined by you this exchanges. more
You as citizens keep demanding lower rater and better service at no cost, do not understand the business side of things. Please do not have lopsided vision and let another airline fail. India needs air service to grow economically. more
They (Indigo) are cheap in many ways except their fare. Are they really low-cost as you seem to believe? Their fares are comparable to full-service airlines. In 1985, the average domestic flight ticket on Indian Airlines was between Rs 270 to Rs 300. The seats had much better legroom, cushioning was superior, and food was way better. Now you have cramped seats, over-crowding, unruly mobs and airfare which averages around Rs 5000. Going just by inflation norms, Rs 300 in 1985 is worth around Rs 4000 today. Everything is not a binary, madam. We have seen better days with some great airlines, which unfortunately do not exist for many reasons other than just economics. In India, promoters try and suck money out of any business and believe in bleeding it. Then you have the government with its obnoxious taxes on all and sundry, making domestic air travel per kilometre more than double that of international travel. more
it is very much surprising that indigo has taken too much time in response to return baggage & refund to the custmers. no body knows what is going on? whether DGCA is culprit or indigo is black mailing to the DGCA. THE ULTIMATE SUFFERER IS THE FLIERS.some reumers r there that bjp led govt is introducing ADANI in to aviation sector. whatever is the rights of fliers must be in the top prioriries. actually during the kumbha in allahabad these airlines benifitted by the indian railways by not running special trains from east/south/west.in that period these airlines did not follow ant DGCA norms. more
During Kumbh in allahabad indian railways gave no refund on cancelled tickets. more
