Indian Railways.

The proposals mentioned in your mail are necessarily to be discussed and find out how best methods can be adopted for implementation.

But, the immediate attention of the Railways must be directed towards execution of the following:

a. Strict implementation of time schedule.
b. Ensure hygiene and cleanliness in the railway stations as well as in the trains.
c. Do not permit season ticket holders and un-reserved passengers to travel at any cost in the Reservation Coaches. This culture was there, but looking forward the last Parliament election and to appease the people and to trouble the reserved passengers, the UPA govt unilaterally allowed the local passengers to pack in the reserved coaches. This practice should be stopped immediately. The temporary stoppages permitted for the above purpose in the eve of the last Elections must be withdrawn.
d. Fare increase has not affected the passengers. It has simply become a opposition parties tool to protest the govt, which should be ignored.
e. Ensuring Safety and Security.

The above measures will catch the attention of the passengers immediately and positive results will be there. more

In addition to the issues listed one more major issue is that people get into reserved compartments without reservation and cause disturbance. The solution for the same is that TTEs should not allow entry to people without reservation tickets. more
My another suggestion on black money in India: Make guidlines to find out internal black money by following tools. 1) Declare no punishment who declaring money himself & can use 50% from it. 2) Decide time frame e.g. till dec.2014 to bring out black money, after that no such currency which will older than 2008 should not valid in the market. 3) Tough on to follow the policy. more
With respect to yr mail subjected to implimentation of railways, I also would like to share my view based on experiences. 1) Material stolening by public must be control causing excedents. 2) Instructions must be flashed on every stations with punishment to change people mentality. Only government policies can't change or to make prospourus our Railways without public participation. 3) Proper Monitoring on employees by govnt & public as well to stop such bribes more
