Just sharing a thought with Local Circle members.
There is need to look for a new design for currency notes. RBI may consider using Ashok Chakra and Photo of new Parliament Building on reverse. Even National Flag can also be incorporated in the design to make it more colorful and difficult to copy.
RBI may consider launching a competition for new design of currency notes wherein artists from all over the country participate.

Redesigning notes isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s a combination of security, accessibility, durability, and cultural storytelling. Many countries periodically update their currency for these reasons. more

Mr. Raman: Gandhi is not anybody. He may be 1 among 1000. Can you name all 1000 people? How many can, not even you. But more than a crore of people can remember Mahatma Gandhi. Even in our Puranas there are stories of thrives becoming saints. What is the meaning of Parihara and Prayachiththam. What is forgive and forget? In your case can you say you have thought or done any harm. Have you not become a better person after that. Everyone has had a skeleton in the closet. To err is human. One who has never erred has never attempted to do anything. One should not keep on blaming the past for the present events. Live in the present, learn from the past and plan for the future. more

Independence was won by the work of thousands of people, not just one man. We respect Mahatma Gandhi for his non-violent action in our country's independence. However, in doing so, why are we being unfair to so many other people who also contributed to the nation? Moreover, Gandhi was not perfect. His tendencies as a paedophile, as described in his book "My Experiments with Truth", are unacceptable by current standards. Let us not make one person God and rest as evil. We are not saying to do away with MG's photo on currency notes. All that is said is to diversify. more

This one-man superhero logic is absurd. A nation is built by many. As far as Ambedkar is concerned, he had a constitution committee with over 1000 members. So this single man theory of 'writing the constitution' is also far from the truth. He was the head of the constitution committee. Unfortunately, many people have lost their ability to think objectively and in a logical way. Change is the only constant in life. This too shall pass some day. more

Thousands of people photos can not be on the currency. He was the accepted leader. Gandhi and India’s Independence is inseparable no marred what anyone thinks.
Nehru, Gandhi and others did with what resources they had at that time. You can not go back in History and blame past leaders based on what political parties say to their advantage. Some people say Ambedkar was not responsible for writing The Constitution. more
