India to do wastewater surveillance in 15 states
Some good news as a result of our constant pushing is that the Indian Sars-CoV-2 Genomic Consortium (INSACOG) has started surveillance of sewage water at 19 different sites in 15 States to detect the presence of the Sars-CoV-2 virus.
This should help us detect Covid faster. Hope they will be efficient and timely in sharing reports. If u ahve more ideas on such initiatives Govt should take, please share. more

Hope they do it in Odisha too. My city Rourkela situated in the state of Odisha is suffering from overflowing sewerage water due to improper drainage which is causing health hazards and may be spreading covid too. more

Better & efficient drainage system and recycling of sewage water for productive purpose, will make India healthy. Atleast, now India has woken up. Better late than never. At least, let this be given a booster. more

Firstly sewage water should be constantly moving and not become stagnant. For this to happen underground drainage has to be dug on the outskirts of every city. Also this sewage water can be recycled and sent back to the residences and business establishments for use like cleaning, watering the plants, car washing etc more
