Increase availability of Rs. 10 notes

Today many vendors are accepting digital payments. However, for public transport (buses, autos etc.), at temples haratis etc., one still needs the small change - Rs. 10 or Rs. 20. What comes out of the ATM is Rs. 500, 100 and 200 notes. And banks do not seem to have or not interested in giving Rs. 10 notes. It would be good if banks (through ATMs as well) dispense Rs. 10 notes in more numbers and reduce the Rs. 2000 notes (hopefully, this will reduce cash transactions, corruption and black money). more

Banks are not having Small Denomination Notes, this is causing inconvenience to Common Citizens. more
While we have had no problem with availability of small currency, I feel that more small currency be put in ciirculation. more
I agree that ₹ 10 and 20 notes are still required many times. But banks are not interested in providing these denominations.... Let us try through request in writing. more
What I do is to ask the bank manager for Rs 10 notes for 1000 or 2000 rupees in the bank where I keep my account. If they do not have, I give a request in writing and then collect it. This usually lasts for more than 2 months. more
Completely agree. This is much necessary as ATMs dispose only larger denominations. It becomes tedious task to get change for small payments. more
