We have political system in our country where municipal corporation is ruled by a different party that that of state. This makes state govt not supporting corporation by withholding their salaries or not providing funds for their administration & devp work. This may be other way round also. This they do to show other party in a bad light. Citizens at times are confused who is responsible for the mess. If good work all party wants to take credit & vice versa. This we saw in Delhi corporation AAP blaming BJP ruling in corporation where as BJP was blaming AAP for not releasing their salary. Can we make corporations fully under the state govt & not through separate elected members. Elected state govt must appoint the governing body for their term so that full accountability lies with the elected state govt. No confusion nor chances of buck passing more

Am Pune resident, in last 5 years I witnessed demolishing of 4 public latrines in Koregaon Park area. There were almost 12 big garbage collectors placed in corners across this area. Now I observed hardly 3-4 are left. I believe this area is having highest street dogs in city. particularly walk early morning before 6am...you can't...What this corporation is doing with the funds. I feel rest of city rather outskirts must have same situation. And this can be easily proved on ground. more

Dear Sir,I am a retired scientist and staying at Ajni, Wanjari Nagar. I took initiative earlier to rectify sewage line in Â wanjari nagar with localarea which is in mess. Due to increased population and inadequate sewage line there is frequent choke in gutter lines and all the filth ooze and come out. I applied to The authority by taking signature of100 Flat owners and residents of the area and also given the same to the local corporator during 2013 but so far no action has been taken. The civic bodies like municipal corporations must be instructed to capture a clean photographs ( with date of capturing the photo) of all the localities listed under the body after cleaning them . That will be only point taken into consideration while awarding them the next periods funds . or else there will be a deduction in their pay packages. In case they provide cleanliness evidences of a few area the future grants will be pro-rata. Also ,Public must be empowered to lodge a swacchh registered grievance by sending evidence of a dirty locality due to negligence of civic bodies. The Civic bodies will be asked for clarification and action within 15 days failing which will affect the grant in the next period. Also the bodies who achieve beyond a benchmark can be given % incentives in grants. But it will be periodic say quarterly. so that if they do not maintain it within a quarter and resend evidences the next grant will be affected. Also this will lead to abolition of nonperforming persons in the body and may need re-elections/selections. PUBLIC AWARENESS must be created. Public will be notified the cause of deduction in grants and hence public will choose a new leader for themselves. more
