II SLEEPER - CHANGE IN DESIGN
Presently the II sleeper coaches are having two windows on both sides with two slide down windows of one metal and one glass. Most of these windows are not working properly and during winter the passengers have to struggle to close it fully. In addition to this problem, the noise level is so high and unable to use the mobile phone.
This problem can be solved by changing the windows construction similar to that of AC coaches with one glass door fully fixed.
In that case the II sleeper coaches will look similar to AC coaches without the provision of AC fitments.
The Railways may consider this point as an improvement in facility to the II sleeper passengers. more

Mr. Sharma is right. there is significant difference between a/c and non-a/c coaches. fixing of windows is not an option. periodic overhauling can be done to fix the issue. Regarding the noise part it is necessary that all windows are closed like in a/c coaches but that's not possible because the windows are only source of ventilation. more

LATE RUNNING OF NORTH EAST EXPRESS,TRAIN NO-12506, WHICH TWICE I HAD BOOKED ONLINE TICKET AND AFTER REACHING STATION-NBQ FOUND TRAIN LATE FOR 3 HRS/ 5 HRS, SO FINALLY CAN NOT WAIT AND HAS TO TRAVEL BY BOOKING CURRENT TICKET IN GEN. COMPARTMENT, AND GETTING THE REFUND TICKET CASH BACK ALSO BEYOND IMAGINATION TIME, SO WHY THIS TRAIN SERVICE IS SO WORST BUT IT IS A SUPERFAST TRAIN IT SEEMS? The suggestion seems to have overlooked the difference between AC and Non-AC. If the windows of Non-AC coaches are sealed, it is hazardous and can cause overheating, breathlessness and similar issues more
