IF ONE DOESN’T FOLLOW THE SEGREGATION OF GARBAGE THE DISTRICT COLLECTOR WILL NOT COME TO MAKE YOU

AWARE, BUT THE LAST GRADE GARBAGE COLLECTOR WILL:

Swachh Bharat is taking a lot of efforts to give us safe and Clean Environment and also save the localities. But people who want to keep their houses clean and neat should not dump their Garbage to their convenience, causing disruption to the SWACHH movement.
EVEN THE LAST GRADE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION WORKER, GARBAGE COLLECTOR HAVE BEEN CONSCIENDIZED ON SEGREGATION AND IS IMPLEMENTING THE ORDERS OF SWACHH BHARAT.

This applies to all Citizens, irrespective of their Socio Economic Status. The incidence of an Arrogant Garbage Dumper, who didn’t comply with.

We also keep our eyes and ears open to such, so we don’t repeat or allow others to . more

I am inclined to agree with Shri Gurparkar Singh's Post. Our law enforcement system is ineffective. If we have good and fast Police but slow and/or poor judiciary it is as bad as slow or poor Police and efficient and fast Judiciary. The strength of chain is decided by the weakest link. It is useless to blame Police alone and the demonstration before Police Station is no good. It is also important that Municipal Corporation should should lodge complaint against the violator and support the law abiding employee. If Municipal Commissioner does not stand by the correct behavior of his employee what action can be taken against him. Commissioners - municipal or Police do not think that they are in any way responsible for welfare of people.Ward representatives, MLAs and MPs have to come to people once in five years, but the executives have no dialog with the People. If and when any individual has a grievance, he has to go to the executive / head and go on and on but his problem is not responded to by Dept. What are possible solutions? On line submission (uploading) of grievance with all supporting documents of which the receipt and Ref. no. for future reference shall be automatically generated, recorded and issued to complainant. In villages Sarpanch of Grampanchayat shall hold a public meeting and in city Ward representative, Municipal Commissioner, Police Commissioner, Mayor shall hold a public meeting (preferably separately) in which they would receive grievances in writing and give receipts and issue replies in writing to complainants (about complaints received during last meeting). such meetings should have a fixed venue and schedule - say 1st Monday of every calendar month. Any other method that would ensure quick disposal of public grievances and ease of communication should be acceptable to all. It must always be remembered that Administration is for People and not the other way round. RYK more
In my area also I can see people are throwing garbage anywhere and if we protest they come back with a comment like "I have not thrown garbage in front of your House " I am afraid with this kind of mentality will we be successful in making a Swachh Bharat . We have to change our people first . it is a concerted effort not an individual objective. more

Yes you are right Mr. Tapas Chatterji .Thats where the Link of the whole program Breaks. Their interest and devotion is restricted to Clearing the Garbage as a whole. Very few who work in segregating at collection Centers are aware of the Value for recyclable garbage. THAT PART HAS TO BE DRILLED INTO THE ONES COLLECTING AND THE ONES DUMPING. In this case the Garbage worker knew her responsibility to collect the segregated Garbage from the houses. BUT NOT THE ONE GIVING THE GARBAGE. For the benefit I am attaching again the clip to emphasise where the Chain has Broken. more

Corporates are doing appreciable work on drive towards circular economy and reduce emissions....but the role of municipalities is still not upto the mark in many cities as could be visible to everyone in terms of collection and segregation of wastes On Thu, 13 Jan 2022 15:54:59 +0530 Jayakumar Daniel wrote > more
