I have seen several proposals from the community/colony where citizens are not willing to share a small contribution say Rs. 50/- per month for collection of garbage. They say it is government job. Why should we pay? Though they will spend Rs. 5000/- on an evening dinner. We need to change this mind set. The underlying problem is that we are used to living in dirt. We keep our houses clean but do not care for the outside. more

One of the main reasons for potholes on street is stagnant water which is caused by blockage at inlet to storm drains. A well maintained storm drain and clean road saves a lot in cost of repair and asphalting of roads. Municipal authorities miserably fail in this aspect. more

Since municipality employees are not performing their duty, this amount should be deductible from the taxes paid to municipality and in turn the municipality can reduce the staff to compensate the loss of taxes. more
