Huge win for LC members

India's government plans to ban online games played with money, a proposed bill showed on Tuesday, in what would be a heavy blow for an industry that has attracted billions of dollars of foreign investment.
Citing psychological and financial harm it says can be caused by such games, the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill 2025 says that no person "shall offer, aid, abet, induce or otherwise indulge or engage in" the offering of online money games and such services.

In this online gambling it is not only International. Also very important people in high places are involved. Tamil naduwanted to stop this as there were several suicides. They had to struggle hard to stop this this as there was a lot of lobbying by Indians. Thanks to the final outcome. Some suicides were stalled. more
highly welcome step by govt. more
Very late decision. It is due to BJP ( Buddhe Janonka Party) . Everything is slow. First will see how much political gain will get & then decide. In fact it is deadly gamble , Not any types of play. The govt. should put heavy taxation about 50 % on this game and amount withdrawn / deposited in the players and owners account. I wrote in past to telecom ministry that internet data downloading speed should increase as soon as the person goes to facebook, tiktok , telegram & entertainment channels. Only Business related websites ( excluding all these garbles) should have normal downloading speed. It will consume the data pack early , companies will get higher income , un necessary load on server will get reduced. Nuisance of mobile get reduced. Don't know why it is not followed ? more
It's good but belated decision. more
