How to clean your Neighborhood

Everything starts from individual level. Create awareness (through media) among the citizens
(the moment they get out of their home) to compulsorily keep waste in the dust bin (dustbins to be kept at an equidistant, visible, and easily accessible). People travelling in trains seems throwing things through windows (they dont want to move out of their comfortable seats). Please keep those in the dustbins provided inside the train(keep dustbins at appropriate places and clear the garbage daily once or twice-provide one time usable bins like those which are used to make egg trays and to be water resistant, so that cleaning need just to take the old one and replace it with a new one) more

Unfortunately our corporation of Mumbai is so lethargic that they dont care about air pollution or noise pollution. Only big talks. more
Awareness programs should be conducted in the most polite way. There should not be any sarcastic or offensive comments during the programs. more
Creating new laws may not be the effective way because it is humans that need to act and not law more
The citizens should feel and understand the need of keeping the environment clean, rather than, complaining authorities not acting timely. They themselves should involve in the act of cleaning. (stich in time saves 9). Cleaning a bit daily avoid piling up of wastes. more
Proper drainage systems-construction, maintenance. There should not be any leakage of drainage. Avoid opening toilet outlets to drainage. Toilet outlets should be separated from normal water drainage system. Always keeps water containers closed and properly ventilated (no room for mosquito grooming) more
