How NRIs can engage in Swachh Bharat

Please find the link below to the subject whitepaper

Please send the link to every NRI in your family/friends/colleagues/social networks. If every NRI is connected to their hometown community and civic body leadership, they can play an important role in Swachh Bharat as well as contribute to their home town.

We look forward to any additional inputs you may have!

This is a good list. Good efforts! I hope it is accepted, implemented and becomes a great success in the long run. more
We have laws inconsistent with the development index of our nation. We have stringent laws on par with developed nations which has enjoyed independence of over 250 years or they never were colonized. We have brought in laws to satisfy the developed nations and in the eventuality got caught in a web of legal issues which every citizen has violated on one or other occasion. The laws should evolve along with the development of people. We need a relook into our tax laws if we can bring more openness among people and NRI's in investing more in India. Just liberalize law to permit India to evolve before clamping down latter. more
The NRI's will not come to clean the village to which he/she is attached. Only thing the NRI can do is send some contribution for the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Without change in the mentality of the local residents towards Swachh Bharat the contribution from the NRI is not going to help in Swachh Bharat Mission. more
Most of villagers are Migrating because of following reasons
1. There is no exemplary Leaders living in the village.
2. There is no one to Help them for a genuine cause
ex: Most of urban population are illiterates, they have no one to guide their kids to be in the right track.
3. No basic facilities like road, education, bus, water, toilets etc.

How can re-build the trust in urban world. setting an exemplary leader or a role model.

Pick NRIs who are ready to SACRIFICE their comfort and happy family life and Who can inspire and influence the people with their leadership and skill for building a Great Nation which is clean and corruption free.

Implement PILOT project with a few NRIs before taking it on larger scale. more
The question is, will the government officers let us help India? NRIs can act as consultants for building waste-to-energy plants, make the connections with their governments and companies, bring technology and grants. They can study the systems in their country for garbage separation, recycling, safe disposals, and even bio-degradable packaging, etc. and bring those technologies to India. I had written here long ago that my friends and I are willing to help. No response! more
