Anxiety and Stress rising amidst Unlock 1.0

Most of you have regularly been participating in LocalCircles surveys on lockdown. Many of them have been shared at the highest levels of the Government in the last 3 months and many corresponding actions have been taken. Finally we are on an issue where there is divergence between what citizens are demanding and what Government is doing. Below is the survey report on how people are feeling:

Unlock 1.0 - How Citizens Feel

You are requested to share on your social media as well as with your state Chief Minister.

The key area of difference between what people are saying and what Government is doing is in how the COVID-19 spread is to be contained in the high virus load districts. While many people feel the high virus load districts should be locked down completely as the health infrastructure is failing to cater to current load of COVID-19 cases in these districts. The Governments and local administrations on the other hand are continuing to treat high virus load districts no different than regular districts and opening malls, hotels, restaurants, markets, offices etc which could lead to a rapid increase in cases in a few weeks.

We look forward to your inputs! more

Govt has to see how best we can deal with Corona and at the same time protecting Economy.Restrictions have to be selectively. more
Complete Lockdown for entire country is not the solution. Strict Lockdown can be enforced for high containment areas. Relaxations can be permitted in other areas. But the most important thing is public co-operation. There are a number of people who do not follow Govt. directive regarding Social Distancing etc and take thing lightly. Public co-operation is a must to control Corona. more
Public Cooperation is only Remedy besides access to Clinics more
Our GOV only making Drama , too much package - all for corporate ,million dollar coming from foreign Indian - not helping, even flight ticket also, people suffering by covid , but - union minister have worried for CAA NCR , E Rally , too Bad - our country is too down - before MAVO ( china) Hitler , Now - trump (USA) Modi , these leaders have same game, NAME is National Love ,Non National LOW, last result is some Innocent people will Die, please give as free Reshan food ,why Modi take Money from state GOV,million dollar spent for ,advertees & statue, traveling , more
Govt. made enough delay toinitiate the measures to combat such virus. Lockdown is always an emegency measure, one can't expect such an indefinite lockdown as it will harm the total economy. People are hugely jobless or working under a salary cut. How one can spend more? The total situation is now out of control, Neither economy is in good shape nor COVID is under control. what the poor people will do or survive after such mess? After all such incidences if a section of people think lockdown should continue, nothing to contest. Let's die without proper health care for ailments or remain silent as Govt. is so good. more
Full lockdown was the need of that time in March end as we were not at all familiar with COVID 19 and not equipped to fight it. It was therefore the most preferred option. Government had perfectly timed it and imposed lockdown, which some people call draconian but it is not correct. That was the need of that time. Now, that we have limited the number of cases and have readied more facilities to deal with it, we should open up the lockdown in general, restricting it to only those places which are known affected. Economic activity has to go on.
However, hospitals which were out of business and doctors who were fully on Corona treatment not earning their regular income have started spreading fear in the minds of people. There are vaccines for many diseases and likewise there will be one for Corona also, which are always promoted by lobbyists for their own gains. They will not stop their business of trapping people.
Today, while starting all our activities, we need to take precautions and raise our immunity levels - not by vaccines but by administering our home grown remedies which have no side effects. That will be sufficient to restart our lives in a safe manner. more
