GST Profiteering complaints

Last time when GST rates were reduced the circle members got large Indian and multinational companies booked for profiteering over INR 800 crores. This amount was deposited in the consumer welfare fund.

This time around can we request Government to institute some kind of reward and recognition system for those who are active citizens.

We dont trust consumer Ministry to ensure fair usage of such money that was received with the efforts of us people. The monies atleast a small part of it must go back to those who raise issues.

how can this be done ? more

Retailers should sticker all the products in their stock with the new MRP wef 22 september, change their pricelists on websites and in their computer systems. customers should refuse to buy or return any product that is billed on earlier MRP. Customers must be alert. It can happen that a retailer makes a mistake or overlooks, and customer needs to be alert to spot this. more
The consumers and GST authorities should play proactive role to ensure that tax reduction is passed on to the consumers. more
Anti proffiting agencies should create a permanent special section for rewarding the informants. This can be easily done as customs and central excise department has already doing this for last 50/60 years.local circle is requested to give suggestions to finance minister more
Since there will not be particular person to refund such extra collected tax, it's transferred to consumer welfare funds. more
Does anyone know what happened to the money collected.Consumer affairs ministry is always sleeping and having a great time. There are lot of govt depts who are paid but they hardly have any responsibilities and also no accountability.I do not understand the head should take those un functioning people to task. more
