GST benefit not coming
We had purchased cancer medicine on 3 rd September priced RS.4701 and 24th September paid Rs.4847.81. The company increased the price of medicine. No benefit of GST Reduction is reaching Common man in this case.

It appears that yes — the GST structure does intend that your medicine should become cheaper (or at least the tax component should fall). However, in your specific case: Because the purchase on 24 Sept may still be based on older stock or older pricing, the benefit may not have been fully reflected yet. The general increase from ₹4,701 to ₹4,847.81 suggests that even if tax savings apply, other cost factors have caused price increase, thereby overshadowing the benefit. The medicine you bought may not yet be in the list of drugs fully exempted, so you may still be paying some GST or higher base cost. more

As per Shopkeepers, if they have bought the stuff before 22 Sept, then they will not give any relief. Any thing bought after this data will be eligible for GST relief. We have experienced it for Groceries and medicines. more

Yes, we also experienced the same with regular medicines, coffee powder etc. Just before the gst announcements, the prices are raised. more
