GRIEVANCE REGARDING IRCTC TICKET BOOKING SYSTEM FAVORING AGENTS OVER PASSENGERS :

Reference to Mr. Subhash Parakh's Post :

This issue has been raised repeatedly by genuine passengers, though often voiced in the comments rather than the main posts. The concern is real and persistent.

Many travelers have experienced this: when attempting to book a ticket directly on the IRCTC platform, the system initially shows seats as available. But in a matter of seconds, the status mysteriously changes to "Waiting List 40" or worse. This sudden shift has led to growing suspicion and frustration among passengers.

Who is actually benefiting from this process? Is it the genuine traveler, the customer, or third-party agents?

It appears the system is skewed to favor agents over individual travelers. We request transparency and fairness in the booking process. The IRCTC platform must ensure that the interests of direct passengers are protected and not sidelined in favor of intermediaries. - Jai Hind more

Whether it is Railway Minister or ICC Chief, they all are tutored on how to act, what to say and when to say...in recent Old Delhi Station mishap where many lives of general public were lost, the Railway Minister's acceptance of the same and belated synpathy post came after the PM commented and expressed his sorrow at the loss of lives. So it is evident how the ministers are just puppets...not just of their supreme head but also of touts, agents and influential people who get Travel Booking Agent of IRCTC and with High Speed Net, they have full advantage. So the earlier system where touts used to line up their men to buy bulk tickets is now being done digitally - Online in bulk bookings and then earning handsome margins by selling it to clients for double price. more
Yes, Mr. Srivastava is absolutely correct. If you look at the punctuality of passenger trains from Maharashtra towards Delhi or UP, they are all running on time, but the moment you analyze the punctuality of prestigious passenger trains like Gitanjali or Jnaneswari , these trains are regularly late, not by 30 minutes or one hour, but sometimes a leisurely SIX hours or more. What does Indian Railways think- these children and elderly passengers are not paying the train fare? This is just to show that Bengal is not a "double engine" sarkar, hence the government will do whatever it feels. Man maani. more
There has to be a penalty for every minute a train is delayed. Such penalty should be refunded to the passengers more
As I had mentioned in earlier such posts, remove tatkal booking for agents, ensure that the tte checks the id of the passenger and not just ask for the name. Surprise checks by railway officials to check validity of passengers and unruly ttes. more
truly said and our railway minister acts as if everything is in order and does not do anything otherthan talk on only vandebharat etc trains with sheer neglect to the other trains and this attitude is very hurting all the regular trains in which aam aadmi travels and worst effected are senior citizens whom no one cares here in this govt more
This govt.is worst and not listening to public, because it has hijacked full democractic process and institutions in its favour. Do you think your request will be heard? If you check, maximum passenger trains in Jharkhand and west bengal towards Howrah are being deliberately delayed or cancelled or shortened destination by South Eastern Railways for last 2 years and more to give preference to goods train carrying mined materials in this area and daily passengers are heavily suffering there. Despite repeated appeals and requests to DRM, till now no improvement is initiated and railways is informing that it is order from higher official to pass goods train preferably over passenger trains. more
