Govt selling our data

We bought a car last year.

For the past month we have received not less than 8 phone calls daily from insurance companies literally hounding us to renew the insurance through them.

We were wondering how they got my number & how they know the insurance is due for renewal.

Then we saw the attached. Our data is being compromised by the Government itself. Road Ministry.

Given so much talk about data protection on LocalCircles for a decade shouldn’t there be laws against Govt compromising people’s data??

And this is not just me saying. See below: 1 in 2 says it was a govt office that compromised their data…

In the case of Premium collection multiple calls come from various agents who are not given the details of payment status. So different agents collecting premium add the statute statement " IGNORE IF PAID " and the same send messages or call. Such calls frantically made to get business and livelihood. more
