Govt has got it wrong on UPI MDR
The LocalCircles survey itself is saying only 17% merchants are ok with 0.4% MDR on UPI. Which basically means others will pass the charges to consumer or jack up the prices. I dont know why Government isnt getting it. They should charge every merchant a flat fee for UPI usage each year. Something like ₹99

Hello Scholar, When UPI was not there Peoples were Paying for Paytm & other app. why You are crying on UPI ? Hindians are always behave like as a beggars. Everything want FREE. Water , Bus , Rly etc. To Run the machinery It involves the Cost of Staff, Maint. Power , Utilities etc. Here in Country Peoples are Chewing Gutkha of Rs. min. 50 /00 per day. But not willing to pay the Facility. If Don't want to use UPI , Don't use. in 140 Cores Few Cores are not real Scene of Acceptance. more

Most probably price will jack up.one small pakodiwala had put price list as under. With cash rs 50 By scanning code rs 51. So naturally price will up. While he has no effect for mdr. but viewing newspapers and listening the people he taken decision without understanding.and thus if one will do and others follows blindly. And people are helpless. While government is taking incometax and GST what is need of taking MDR for UPI payments. UPI have saved currency and load on ATM.so it is to be discussed on national level. more

govt should into this seriously and do necessary corrections without wasting anyfr time and increases the limit from 2k to 5k say also the total limit more
