Vaccine Hesitancy drops by 10% but still 62% hesitant: Inputs Sought

In its December survey, LocalCircles said that 69% citizens and 55% healthcare professionals were hesitant to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Unfortunately, there was limited action on it and now the Government is realising its accuracy. Below is the link to the survey report which indicates that hesitancy has gone down by 10% since the last survey.

Vaccine Hesitancy Survey Jan 2021

Though this is a positive, clearly a lot more needs to be done. Do share your inputs on what the Government and the 2 vaccine makers must do at this point to build confidence amongst healthcare workers and citizens at large.

We look forward to your inputs! more

Public are hesitant and their apprehension is based on press reports. more
There were over 72 deaths of persons who had taken the vaccine. One man died the next morning after taking the vaccine and still the government denies that the death was not due to the vaccine! The government needs to be completely transparent and not hide the facts. This is playing with the lives of Indians. I had said exactly the same thing what Anil Sharma has written. Let all the government officials/political members of all states take the vaccine first and after 28 days take the second dose and then we should see the results. Maybe then it may bring in more confidence to the people. more
1. Kindly make the "Clinical Trial" reports Public.
2. If anyone falls sick or dies within one week of taking the vaccine - the manufacturer and the Govt must take responsibility and provide compensation - let there be an insurance.
Hope these two will install more confidence in the minds of people. more
Heroes / leaders always set paths for others by leading with example. All our political leaders / doctors should first take the vaccine themselves in public and then ask the people to join the vaccination program.
This will clear all the doubts in the minds of all the people and put rumor mongers to shame.
Parliament session is coming up shortly. All the elected representatives will be present and all of them can be vaccinated together in one go. The event can be broadcasted to the entire nation to boost the confidence in the vaccine nationally and internationally.

Nobody would dare to question the efficacy of the vaccine then and we will have hordes of people lining up for vaccination. more
It may not be safe to vaccinate all in one go. It can be spread over 10 days , so that when some unroward incident happens all will not suffer. Further even befor the parliamant sessions it can start so that the ones who had taken before opening will be ready to attend. more
I do believe in natural way of healing. The common belief of today, because of the education system, medicines ( allopathic) are part of life is a falsely created one. If a person is ready to follow through healthy eating habits and live a nature friendly life, one should be able to lead a healthy life without medicines. Individuals and societies should strive for that rather than creating a notion in the society that its impossible to live without medicines. more
