Golden rule for protecting your info on internet

I see all these discussions in circles about social media apps. Here is all you need to know friends.

Do not give following permissions to any app unless absolutely sure:
1) Write over other apps
2) Access to photos, videos, files
3) Microphone

If you do the above, any one can tap your private conversations, get into your bank or know whats going in in your office and bedroom.

Even be careful with whatsapp and skype. Other than these 2 not to anyone at all. Esp the chinese apps like tik tok, share it and bigo. more

Apps cannot be installed unless you give permission for ALL the access that is asked for.

Better option is to be very cautious about using apps. Download and install only that YOU MUST HAVE. Everything else can be ignored. If you can get that control on your phone, life would be more peaceful.

Best is not to use banking apps on phones. Why is that necessary, I am not sure.

Greed and the "need for convenience" can be exploited by others. If you do not succumb to either, then you are already protecting yourself. more
View files-SMS,photos,videos.This permission, with androids operating with Google, can identify the face, location, and banking traces. more
Many Thanks for your candid suggestions more
I am very glad you raised this issue. These days, App Developers ensure that even the Apps of reputed manufacturers, sellers and other service providers cannot be downloaded, until and unless you permit them virtually unbridled access to your personal information.
I am sure many average users blindly give the permissions required, without thinking of consequences.
Is there any Regulatory Body one can complain to?! more
