Future of our children
I see every day all children are going to school with huge bags. But i really find the same children in the park, for play or sport in the evening.
Will they be living a healthy life once they grow?

The educationists need to establish the relationship between learning and weight of school bag AND TELL THE PARENTS!!! May be the parents & teachers are assuming that there is positive relationship. IT LOOKS LIKE Q.E.D.- SO PARENTS AND TEACHERS ARE COLLABORATING NICELY. I THINK PARENTS AND TEACHERS ARE POSSIBLY WORKING ON AMBIGUOUS PRESUMPTION/PREMISE. IF THE PARENTS AND TEACHERS REALLY WANT TO ENABLE THE CHILDREN TO LIVE AND TRULY ENJOY THEIR LIVES, THEY NEED TO URGENTLY RESOLVE THE ISSUES OF LOADS ON CHILDREN - THE CURRICULUM LOAD AND PHYSICAL LOAD OF THE SCHOOL BAG. more

Children being saddled with huge knapsacks is a disease our education system is suffering because of lack of understanding of human growth and development.We need a lot of good practical thinkers and social scientists to prescribe right curriculum for children. more

There is no doctrine or prescribed parameters on the subject raised in the forum. It is the parents prerogative to decide how their children be taught and directed for a healthy better life. One can send their children to Big named Schools, pay heavy amounts, make the child to carry huge bags, and pass out- it is a prestige issue. Also there is no ban to send children to Govt Schools.... but the trend considers Govt. schools inferior ... yes if a serious thought is thrown on this aspect and an effort is made to make the Govt. schools a better place for education, certainly we can find new ways of upbringing for sure. The mindset needs a drastic change within everyone. more
