I think a fair number of us has been screaming from the rooftops about police reforms.This is long pending and the running of India as a police state is deplorable. The politicisation of the police force needs to be stopped and to that end a lot needs to be done .
But for now, the policemen responsible for the brutal, horrendous,cruel-beyond- imagination of the two men,should be hanged.
I am dead against death penalty but I am saying it.A country that claims to be run by the rule of law must show itself to be so.India cannot be surakshit otherwise. more

Very difficult to rectify the situation. Corrupt politicians utilise the cops to fulfill their illegal demands and wishes, suppress their adversaries and those who dissent, and in return, allow the police to make money on the side on bribes, protection money and even for doing their legitimate job. The politicians have to be straightened simultaneously with the cops and bureaucrats. The cops even used to write false reports for passport verification if bribes were not paid, the state and central governments are very well aware of this. more

Police reforms would be a step in the direction of correcting those wrongs.Elect the right kind of politicians.Now,I know this last statement of mine will evoke some cynical comments:) more

This case needs speciAl attention and justice must be served post haste by legal authorities. The central govt and state gives must implement police reforms immediately . more
