Food delivery service providers

Mostly food delivery service providers are inflating prices of food items as compared to dine in prices. Is there any regulator for this? Apart from penalising erring service providers some proactive steps are needed to stop this malpractice. more

Delivery charges are hidden or for order of above a specific amount. more
It is a different model of food supply. Cannot make dine-in food vendor similar to delivery, as infrastructure costs are different between them. Similar to payment wallet versus credit card. more
Not sure I understand. This is a case where dine in and delivery rates of same vendor are being compared. While providing delivery services rates are inflated (as compared to dine in rates). Ideally rates for delivery should be lower. But that is a call that restaurant and delivery services provider take. Issue is service providers like Zomato and Swiggy are claiming there are no differences in dine in and delivery prices and delivery service is free or minimally charged. In reality the rates of items could be inflated from 10-30% as compared to dine in rates. more
I feel they include delivery and service charges in the cost. more
Let them specify that transparently then. They are claiming that there are no hidden charges. more
Most of the people are keeping a car only for dine outside more
