Fithy Train Toilets (# 16637 Okha Ernakulam Exp)
During our recent travel by the above train to Madgaon on December 24 night/25 morning, we found that condition of the toilets in the train (wandered from one bogie to another) especially in coaches S-9, 10, 11 were the filthiest amongst those seen in our trains. Even dirty will be a better word to describe them! The dirt had accumulated near the seat and was not getting cleaned by flushing. Surprisingly, some of the passengers who told they were regular travelers by this train shared that this is a regular phenomenon in this train! Whether the railway authorities/ ministry are reading/listening? Many times this suggestion has been given that halts on bigger junctions should be utilized for cleaning the invariably dirty toilets (passengers’ civic sense also needs improvement) and not only for staff change (railway purpose)! Whether this suggestion (any better ones) will be implemented quickly by the pro-active government? more

it is the public who makes it dirty . Majority of us dont have civic sense and for every thing blame Authorities more

Introduce unisex open-front toilet seats - for ladies. Hot flush toilets, periodically. Dual flushing mechanisms. Flush solid, and 1/2 flush liquid wastes. more

Agree. Must perforce, hover, aim, into the toilet bowl centre, our ablutions. Cannot be seating thereon, so filthy are toilet seats! Vaccuum toilets increase flushing force, improving the cleanliness. more
