Fast Tag - Action against Government

Toll plazas in India charge double the moment a FASTag is missing.

But when they violate the 3-minute rule, there’s no timer, no refund. If you ask, a group of toll goons will surround you and aggressively harass you.

This is a prime example of a system that enforces the rulebook on the common man but refuses to apply it to itself.

Given how much LC and its founder Sachin Taparia bhai is heard in Government circles, can this be taken up? more

Well said. Not just that in many tolls in Mumbai, even when cars shouldn't be charged, they are being charged toll illegally more
Two days ago, the toll gate on Container Road at Kochi did not read my fast tag and the lady at the counter said there is no balance. The toll gate staff told me pay Rs 130 that is double the actual toll amount of Rs. 65/-.Actually the balance in my fasttag account was Rs 1800/- when I checked later after a few hours when I was free away from the toll gate. I was wrongly charged becasue the fast tag servers had a glitch. So the conclusion is the fasttag system is not glitch free. more
Another method of organized theft is also happening. The Fastag is made invalid citing KYC norms. It becomes difficult to revive the Fastag. Naturally, vehicle owner will buy new Fastag from the vendor. The old Fastag becomes invalid and the balance in that old Fastag is never refunded. more
While we are digitised to such a great extent, why delay of 3 minutes is not or cannot be captured and the vehicles not allowed to pass without deducting toll charges automatically? Why there should be any manual interface/intervention? more
This rule looks like one sided. We are not even allowed to ask for our rights in tolls more
