Extortion is very much mixed in Indian society with different names. Police is also involve in it directy and sometimes indirectly.it has vast network that cannot root out with out strong govt.will. more
Extortion by independent small groups are caught but not by Mafia gangs. Most of the time it is not even reported. Those who challenged the gangs seldom survived. Police needs to show their mettle before they expect citizens to even report these extortion. more
Dear sir /madam I also have faced this problem, some times, somewhere in public transport. They must be restricted to ask for money from unknown public. They must have special arias for asking the money or gifts as BADHAYI etc. They shall not go in other's area for begging. Means people of the area shall know them by face, that this group is of our area or not. Nobody shall be allowed to beg in others area. more
more the rules more the hurdles more is the corruption.Procedures should be simplified. more
