Excellent work on insurance dark patterns by LocalCircles

My father in law is in the insurance industry friends and the other day he asked me about insurance dark patterns because LocalCircles survey was being discussed in their meetings on how insure tech industry can resolve these issues for consumer trust.

It is nice that the insurance regulator of India acted on our survey….big congratulations to all!

working of Any Organization is depending on their concern Staff & Dept. Heads. If You remove reservation & Keep Incentives based salary structure then only it can improved. Once upon HAL was about to Close But Now how it is well Functioning ? ISRO , DRDO, KMML how they are working ?? more
It is great that Local Circles brought up this issue. However, neither IRDAI nor the Insurance companies seem to be concerned about any improvement. Insurance by far and large is one of the worst sectors in terms of transparency and product mis-selling, inflated premiums, obscene commissions and poor coverage. more
Fully agree with what's said about LIC. The staff is arrogant. Red tape is their strength. Less said the better more
What is said is True. I was Sr.Manager in LIC, left on VRS and now practicing as Advocate in Trivandrum. LIC needs to be revamped a lot. It moves in a PSU style, poor service, minimal returns, cheating customers with wrong products, misleading projections all for fulfilling manager's, office targets. Moreover, LIC staff are the highest paid staff in the country. No audit, no accountability, no digitalisation as the trend requires. Returns on many plans are big ZERO, at times loss of principle amount amount , maximum 4-5%. It is high time that it is to be intervened and cut to size. But who will bell the cat? I handle cases against LIC at consumer court and other Forums on the aforesaid grievances. Appreciate any debate or serous interventions by this community. Worst is LIC. While all other insurance companies allow you to add / change the nomini theough online operation, LIC is still in pre-independance days. They still use Landlines.EMails & Mobiles are probably aliens for LIC. It has been shamelesaly defying the "Dogital India" policy of the govt. more
