ewaste disposal mandatory for eCommerce cos

A large number of computers, laptops, mobiles, tablets are being bought online now.

The Central Pollution Control Board should mandate that all ecommerce sites selling them should be required to collect gadgets back via exchange or just garbage (if consumer wants to return) and have license to process this eWaste responsibly.

Please share your views on this subject friends.

Today India has become a favourite place for many nations as they are allowed to send the containers of used electronics to India and some of our traders are happy finding 10 percent gadgets in working condition and rest 90 percent has no takers. Not sure what they do out of that or that goes as garbage only. more

Collecting of ewaste will be a very good way of disposing off ewaste as the common man does not know what to do with their old mobiles, computers, etc. and if the Computer Mfg. cos. collect such ewaste or have certain place allotted in the city where you can dispose off ewaste it would be very helpful to create an enviro friendly atmosphere. more
