Electricity Theft in West U.P.
U.P. Govt. agreed that there are electricity theft in big scale in west U.P. bt only target the residentials those caught red handed bt the question is without the help of Pvt. Linemen working under contractors are the main accused but no action has been taken against them. They are belongs to rural area and not educated more than intermediate. They knows only climb the pole & conect & disconect the wire by tool. Local resident are not allwed to climb on electric pole bt it could b happend only & only when the linmen r involve in it. They take Rs. 300-400 p.m. from the electric theives. They should firstly punished. more

Before summer creeps in a solution need to be sought for residents in Gaziabad to overcome the long hours of electricity cuts. Presure need to be build up on the Nagar Nigam to oversee this problem. Dr S.Sanyal more

You are very right Gaurav ji, It is not permitted also for safety point of view that an area should be fed from two different feeders but it is continue only due to ease of theft with the help of linemen and PVVNL. more

It is continue even in legal and old residential colonies of Ghaziabad where two different electric sub station's supply comes in a single street. more

There is a strong nexus beteen the lineman and the contracter in the area in Gaziabad. Migrant residents staying in unauthorised colonies are blantantly stealing electricity after paying money to the lineman and the electric contracter. No is there to sue or punish them. Finally it is the residents who face the brunt particularly in summer when there is no electricity for hours together. It is necessary for the residents to consolidate and shake up the system which is taking us for a ride. Dr S.Sanyal more
