Effective Dispoal of End of Life Vehicles - Inputs Sought

The subject issue was recenly raised by our circle member Mr. Sushil Srivasatava.

We would like to seek your inputs on policy for how End of Life Vehicles should be disposed effectively?

The idea behind this would be to have a national policy to drive effectively disposal of vehicles that are at the End of Life.

We look forward to your inputs!

Below is the post from Mr. Sushil Srivastava for reference:

What is the policy of End of life vehicles.
Where these vehicles could be sold so that person get a certificate that vehicle has been disposed off in proper manner and any use of such vehicle or number plate in any unlawful activities does not amount vehicle owner liable for prosecution. Do in our country any such collection centres?

We can see old vehicles lying here and there some times in parking lots, personal garages, roadside, parking lots of societies, occupying valuable space for nothing. People do not dispose off just because falling sold vehicle in wrong hand could lend them in jail.

Government should come up with a policy to create junk collection yards where a certificate could be given to people who want to get rid of his old vehicle which is good for nothing. more
