E-Commerce Packaging Disposal

As eCommerce has taken off in India over the last year, many households are receiving cartons and boxes that are being disposed along with routine trash.

With this post we would like to seek your inputs on how such packaging can be effectively recycled. How can potentially the same ECommerce companies re-collect these packages so they creates less trash, lowers cost for companies and incentivise the customer and contribute towards Swachh Bharat!

Every city or town has a dealer, who deals in paper and plastic recyclable products and purchase such products at reasonable rates. It only requires a concern to save the environment. more
An awareness must be created to the local people who throw such waste items in the streets. The disposal way is simple and it only need effort on the part of individual to find the local waste collection agents who even now collect all types of wastes from the household including such package materials and pay some money for such wastes. Hope it may not be a problem unless public co-operate in a big way to avoid such things. more
In every city & town there are several people engaged in dealing in recycleable items including packaging articles and their agents are collecting those items from door to door at prevailing rates. Hence, disposal of such packaging should not pose any problem. more
Very good suggestion .Re utilization of packages is in interest of all ie buyer , seller ,waste disposal and cleanliness and cost effectiveness. The incentive or the buy back may be instant or on next purchase as convenient . Instant rebate can boost the sale, minimize handling and improve more fitness for reuse . Authorities may like to advise all companies . more
