Does Gurgaon really work??????

I sometimes wonder if residents and employees living/working in Gurgaon are living in a bubble.

We really need to do something about land, real estate, water, electricity and prices of everything. Status quo just won't work. more

Everyone kindly respond to my other post with what you think are top 3 issues that citizens have for Gurgaon. more
well problems are every where, but as friends suggested in earlier posts, we need to figure out what we can contribute, small or big. Education is something, we can share and think of making a big multiplier with the undeserved. Climate Change is something for something to dig deep into. Ask teachers, students in your circle to study adaption and mitigation measures, more details on link below. http://www.climatereality.org.in/ www.tcpf-india.org Ask teachers to register and spread the word among students. more
I agree with you.Gurgaon is a costlier city without having primary needs at his place which is not worthful. more
Most of these initiatives need to be taken up by the state government or at least the local bodies in general. Written letters and petitions can be filed. RTI's can be effective in finding out what the money is being used for as an end result. People living in the society need to congregate and discuss the issues among themselves more often. In short - we need to be proactive. Why I'm rooting for the AAP is that in the medium to long term, they could prove to be a game changer. It will force the Congress and the BJP to behave in a more transparent manner. True the AAP has a political agenda - this is the meaning of politics. By accepting the outside support of the Congress party, they have at least formed the Govt. and can now truly start acting on various issues. A breath of fresh air is what was needed in the political atmosphere. more
I think, we need to be specific what problems we have to tackle on priority rather than talk in general. AAP is a political party with political motive in mind now. We have seen this in their way to talking after the Delhi elections. We are talking here about - community problems, sanitation, environmental issues, horticulture, water harvesting, problems related to builders and developers who are asking residents to pay hefty money for maintenance and upkeep of the complexes, paying house tax even though MCG is not providing any services to the gated complexes, etc etc. more
