Do cleaner neighborhoods/markets command premium value?

Dear all:

We would like to seek your inputs on the association between cleanliness in neighborhoods/public markets and the real estate value they command.

We are conducting a study to estimate whether there is a correlation between cleanliness in residential neighborhoods and markets and their real estate value.

Do share your inputs. If you have any facts and figures to back your views, that will greatly help.

Association between cleanliness in neighborhoods/public markets and the real estate value they command is virtually negligible. Enforcement officials must motivate the people. more

In rich colonies, cleanliness is a result of extra payment by the dwellers to the Government employees and they employ lots of private help also. It is not the result of any Government's good work......please remember.... In our country, if you want service, pay hefty amount extra and you won't have any complaint..... more
In my view market place is the one which is misused/made dirty  by public to the maximum which may be knowingly or Unknowingly. basically it is the habits which play a role in this. Many of the so called educated people too are seen throwing the wrappers on the road out of habit. Hence A CLOSE WATCH ON SUCH ACTIVITIES TO BE DONE . This can be done by deploying group of  volunteers on Sundays and Public Holidays at market place wherein once such an act of trowing waste on road is done by public, immediately it will be brought to the notice of the culprit and corrective action taken there and there. DO'S and DONT'S should be announced over a loudspeaker at market places.  This will be a part of education and bringing about the awareness. Once this exercise is done for 8-10 days the progress to be monitored. Definitely lot of improvement will take place.Alternatively/Simultaneously to install CC TV Cameras and bring about awareness of cleanliness which could be a slightly costly affair.
