DHBVN

Its 1 and half year we sifted here, still not received and electricity bill. Went to Ashoka DHBVN office, for 4-5 times, given copy of connection to many people. Still no response.
Their answer is, my account will be added by head office, at Chandigarh, then only bill can be generated. God Knows, where is it. Or suddenly one day I will get a bill of 1lakhs.... more

There is hardly any complaints being reported by Haryana Consumers to Haryana State Consumer Helpline at 1800-180-2087. The helpline is primarily extends an advisory services. However the back end operation take up advocacy issues. I appeal to all consumers in Haryana to kindly contact above number during office hours and provide details of the grievance they are facing on consumer issues. more  
@Shri Keshav Dev Dixit I regret to say that it has nothing to do with BJP Govt or Congress Govt or for that matter any Govt. Yes Congress Govt has enacted an Act Consumer Protection Act 1986 which entrust the power onto the Consumer. It is for the consumer to ensure that his rights are protected and implemented. What we ned to do is not being done by us. I recall when the cashier in the BSNL used to come late causing a queue at the counter for payment of telephone bills. I requested all the person to sign for the complaint and take up the matter. Regretfully no one was willing to bell the cat despite my offerings for taking a lead. At the end I wrote a complaint to GM and ensured that the order is issued. Next time when I checked, I found the same person sitting at the counter 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time. The example is just given to stress the need of taking up the issues ourselves so that our children do not face any problem.

Coming back to the issue of DHBVN, yes I agree the Department does not respond to the consumer complaints and for such a situation we ourselves are responsible mainly because of sitting in silence and bribing the officials for undue favors. For that matter also we need to work hard to ensure that the Department does not resort to its own whims and fences. The second example is when I got penalised the DHBVN officials with monetary consideration, the official now respond promptly. I am prepared for an awareness talk with the group of consumers anywhere in Faridabad being my city of residence.

I am also willing to offer my assistance to deserving consumers facing issue with DHBVN provided it does not impose any expenditure onto me and the consumer opens up with full facts and figures in a transparent manner. more
