Deployment of Tax Revenues by ULBs

Because of the demonetisation program, most urban civic bodies are experiencing increased tax revenue collection. Citizens are able to settle their pending dues in old currency notes.

With this post we seek your inputs on what are the key areas in which these part or all of these revenues should be deployed by municipalities for upgrades in process, skills, systems, controls, etc esp which will improve municipal delivery on Swachh Bharat areas.

We look forward to your inputs!

Dear All, I am fully supporting PM and agreed with Demonetization action, but Govt issued huge notes of 2000.00 but not reached to citizens.! Really very strange. Major Black money got exchanged to bank's settings. that's why poor and middle class citizens could not able to receive the exchange money from banks. Still people suffering issues in ATM withdrawals, No 100 Rs or 50Rs or (new) 500 Rs. notes available in ATM. These are the Facts that major bank managers/cashiers had setting and got some Percentage and converted black money to while. Think where Diamond business, Builders are most Cash/Black transaction business in india and how including surat/Bhavnagar (Gujarat) Market traders/merchants not crying for money. Not an Indian builder came out. Just they should got setting with bank and converted money. Both Happy Diamond merchants and banks. All over India major black money got converted and no reach people really found in withdrawals during demonetization. See the other reality - only Axis bank and other bank got caught. Wherever Government dept/enforcement/IT department ceased/caught Netas/poeple with large numbers of New Currency Notes of 2000 they not caught bank ? why ?? none of those banks published or news for doing this wrong. No Action being taken till date only very few banks actioned and published to India for doing exchanged. All Major Indian banks Did this conversion. None of the Banks showing how much they received 2000 notes and disbursed to how many customers per day. Do you think any government banks/Co-operative /Private banks not involved in this money conversion fraud ?? more
As a citizen in Jaipur, I found that the contract employees are not paid salary in time. So with this money Govt and department should ensure that the contract employees get their all balance due. more
Government should imposed a very high taxation who pays the tax beyond the deadline. Fail of collecting taxes in time increse the burden on government. Such people can be punished by declared their names in newspaper ane website as defaulter , and banned them to vote in election or to stand for an election. more
If i talk about Delhi...i would advice to spend money on sewage system and roads. Roadside urinals (bio-toilets), overall road infrastructure which is badly required in Delhi. more
Don't waste money on freebies and welfare schemes. Instead, provide training, education and employment so that they earn their living. Technology to reduce face to face interactions with government employees and the likes. Train government employees to use them properly. more
