Delhi Pollution Crisis

I Had highlighted the pollution related issue many months ago by creating a Petition. But only few members signed my petition. This is not a good sign. Now we can see the pollution crisis reaching to the new highs. Today it might be for Delhi and adjoining states. Tomorrow it may spread to the entire country as well as to the entire world.
01. Severe action must be taken against all Pollution control Boards who are (sitting in AC chambers and wasting the time as well as public money) at fault, across the country for this.
02. All civic body top officials responsible for this mess must be put behind bars.
03. All Political leaders and ministers who are making irresponsible laws by allowing polluting industries to function in the name of development must be punished. more

If over 12,500 crore rupees can be spent on building a new parliament building (citing earthquake concerns) and 300 crores rupees on a statue, a fraction of this if spent to stop stubble burning (many viable solutions have been proposed), would it not be more beneficial? more
Every one has to become above politics to face and find out a permanent solution to this national as well as a global tragedy. If not, the days are ahead when pollution will become an epidemic to make our localities uninhabited. more
It is understood that earlier, after the first crop of wheat, they used to sow paddy as against the present practice of whear again. This was changed to conserve water as paddy cultivation consume more water. Had paddy been cutlvated, when the crop is harvested, the hay removed can be used as fodder for cattle and the practice of burning will not be necessitated. They burn the stubble only to enrich the field with ash so formed. Reverting back to paddy and better water management during paddy cultivation can be thought of to eliminate stubble burning and save the environment. more
