The railways reservation sysytem should be modified. As a senior citizen I never get a lower birth when I book the ticket through net.I do not know which system is adopted for choosing the seat by the system while booking the seats through net.
Why the railway can not show the one whole compartment seats like Red bus booking system,so that any one can see which births are vacact and she/he can book according to own choice.
At the same time lower bearths should be kept vacant till all others are full in one compartment for the senior Citizen,ladies,handicaps and paitents. It will be better if seats of lower births are not alloted to the person in the age of 12- 55. more

I fully agree with this point of having lower berths allotment for senior citizens max (70%) and remaining for others more

Yes, there should be visibility and option to choose the berths. In addition if a senior citizen & disabled needs a lower birth , railway should have the right to intervene and change the berths of others who have already booked more
