CSR funds for Railways Passenger Amenities
We in the Railways Ministry are evaluating how CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Funds from corporates can be used to finance passenger amenities upgrade in Railways.
This initiative is an attempt to finance passenger amenities as collectively requested by you without increasing Rail Fares. If you can give ideas on how this can be done and even propose a structure for it, we would greatly appreciate them.
We look forward to your participation!

There is no great merit in compelling corporate entities to allocate CSR funds for providing passenger amenities. On the contrary, CSR funds must be used to provide education, medical treatment etc to the under-privileged and the needy.
Complete transparency can be maintained by providing for advertising rights to corporate entities and the revenue so generated can be used to pay for (say) TVs and Wi-Fi on trains and for other passenger amenities. more
the most of the goods are transported by corporates only so place a seperate tax on freight and it can be used as CSR
