Cost of commodities

I want to bring it to everyone's notice that we have many small shops in our localities, which provides our day to day commodities. But at the same time they don't give you bill and wI'll charge sometimes extra on some items like cold drinks. What we should do for that? One more thing shops on highways will charge you double on almost everything and we are forced to pay as there is no other go. How we should handle this? more

This is comparatively a small issue but seems to be complex. As such it cannot be rectified overnight perhaps. A general circular to be distributed to all vendors with strict instruction that violation of the order will render their licence/permit or whatever liable to be cancelled. Vendors should be asked to maintain a complaint register. Customers will register the complaints. Periodically it should be checked by an official deputed for the purpose and necessary action to be taken accordingly from time to time. It will take time to make it effective. After all we are not a very honest public by nature. more
Same issues faced in many locations, more at villages and small cities. 1. For small shops in our localities, licence to be issues by local municipal corporations ensuring that minimum square meter area distance for each shop and strict notice is pasted in front of each shop to educate the local consumers to ask for bill (Which should not be beyond MRP) and the local municipal corporation helpdesk/complaint numbers. 2. For shops on Highway licence to be issued by highway authority and highway authority approved price list has to be displayed along with the toll free contact number and email id. more
I also want to know about these issues? more
