Coromandel express accident a grave reminder
With 230 dead and 1000 injured the accident last night is a grave reminder of state of affairs and preparedness in Railways.
Everytime a train accident happens in India we are transported back in time to the seventies.
Only the local villagers help and the train and railways itself has no capability to handle the assistance.
Can we please have detail discussion on what went wrong and how this can be better next time 😭😭 more

Before momenting to Anything the Knowledge of Signalling system & operation is necessary. Free Speech means you don;t write anything or blame anybody. Even in this AI era Our rail is better safe than any other railway. In this condition even AI can;t do anything. It is done by somebody purposely. Mostly educated communist or Naxalites. Another railway should take care of signal Huts situating near to track to ensure signal operation & safety. It can be opened by any common man as it having universal key. Great... is it another P........? Nothing happening in the country except pahilwan agitation. We are not experts in AI and we dont require. Why we are paying lakhs of rupees as wages to the Railway Babus to their job. Let them do it. Dont blame the travelling public who are paying the Railways.. Dont insult for our lack of knowledge of Signalling. The Railways hailed Kavach as the most powerful tool in the world. They said interlocking is the best. We never claimed. Let that claims be put to work. It is fasinable nowadays to blame general public for lack of appreciation. We want safe running trains. No knowledge of AI or signalling. more

Looks like Train controllers are sleeping. We need AI methods using simulation of approaching trains and passing information of approaching trains and busy or free tracks. Need History of Track Maintenance. more
IR first priority should have been to introduce the anti collision device in all express and fast trains even if it is at the expense of delaying the launch of vande bharat trains since it is a question of human lives at the earliest.Already the railway minister has removed all the concessions and facilities given on the normal trains to common man and sr citizens and instead of diverting all the funds to vande bharat should have first taken care of the common man which he did not do more
