Your efforts continue to make big big difference. Not sure if people are aware. Starting on April 1, no gold jewelry sales without a hallmark per Govt of India rule.
From April 1, sales of gold jewelry and gold artifacts without a six-digit alphanumeric HUID (unique identification number) are prohibited.
So much consumer cheating by jewellers used to happen and still happens.
Like LC does compliances tracking for service charge MRP etc this area should also be tracked.
I have a feeling that the unofficial gold industry and corrupt elements will want to stay out of hallmark system more
