Concern regarding 'Swatch Bharat'

Congratulations to Modi government for about to implement 'Swatch Bharat'. Hope it materializes and we as citizens become proud about our great nation. My only concern is the success of the program, because it depends on the citizens of the nation. I live in a railway colony where people don't have the civic sense of keeping their space clean rather they throw garbage in their neighborhood. How is the ministry looking forward to spread awareness programs regarding cleanliness? more

We can do that but our main hurdle in bangalore is the dustbins.....we should do something on an urgent basis to have dustbins atleast 1 in 1 locality so that people will not through the garbage on the roadside...that creates problems for the pedestrains and is very much prone to spread diseases. Right now general public has no choice instead of throughing it on the roadside where it is dumped by others...This is the main important step we need to take. Who and how this needs to be done is the big question but in general this is done by Municipality in all areas who takes money from public like Garbage cess etc..... more
Just a humble suggestion ... Why can't you group a few members who agree with you and create an awareness campaign among your locality residents! I know it's not an easy task and why would they listen to you ... But persistence and perseverance pays! You may also write to your local municipality on what best they can do! Considering the attitude off ppl and the population size..we can only try and see if such things work! more
still thesense is not devlop[ in public no scheme will be sucessfull.Cleanliness must start from home.it doesnot mean to clean home &throwthere garbage on road . along with strict rule &penaltty we have devlop civic sense . more
